Travel: 8am drive to Savar north of Dhaka (~2 hours)
Activity: Visit to Christian College of Theology Bangladesh. Mike will take devotions for the faculty and students. This college is just a stone’s throw from the college is the site of the tragic garment factory collapse in 2013. The local church have been involved in care for the victims and families in the aftermath.

Travel: 1pm drive back to Dhaka in afternoon
3:30pm meet with leaders of BBCF.

Friday 21 November 2014 (first day of Bangladesh weekend)

9am – Dedication of the Dining room at John Takle Boy’s Hostel – Rachel to speak.
Travel: Drive Brahmanbaria – Chandpur (~4 hours)
Activity: Afternoon – Time with the boys at the hostel next to the Mission House compound

Sunday 23 November 2014 (first day of working week)
Activity: 7.30am depart Mission House compound on rickshaws
8:00am Church service (Chandpur Baptist Church) – TBC Mike to preach.
Activity: Walk from church to school
9.30am visit to CCCS – Chandpur Collectorate School. This school is situated in the old city jail. It has been completely transformed and a true example of physical redemption.
Activity: 2pm orientation to the Total Community Development Centre project just outside of Chandpur.
3pm-6pm an opportunity to see and connect with people who have been positively impacted through the work of BANZAid.

Monday 24 November 2014
Travel: 9am Ferry up the river Chandpur-Dhaka (~4-5 hours)
Activity: Afternoon visit to GEMS school.

Activity: 10:00am Devotions at Freeset
10.30am-12noon Tour and time at this Marketplacers business located in the largest red light district of Kolkata. Freeset employs approx. 200 women, offering them freedom from prostitution and slavery to produce bags and apparel now sold internationally.
12-2pm – service opportunity through afternoon.
3pm – more time with Freeset

Thursday 27 November 2014
Travel: 6.50am Train Kolkata-Berhampore (~4-5 hours)
Activity: Visit to Freeset Business Incubator site. Berhampore and the wider Murshidabad region is a source region for trafficking of women and children in particular. Through Marketplacers business, NZBMS is seeking to establish new freedom work to address this issue and offer opportunities for income instead of people selling children.

Monday 1 December 2014
Activity: 10am – Visit to Love Calcutta Arts and Innologics.
Love Calcutta Arts produces stationary and sari products employing approx. 50 women and some men, offering freedom and solid income lines.
Activity: 3pm – Visit ‘The Loyal Workshop’– a newer Marketplacers business in a different red light area of Kolkata. This business is producing leather bags and employing a small number of women bringing them out of the prostitution line.
